As the Executive Director and Co-founder of Tujyanemo HDVC, my journey began in 2009, fresh out of university with skills in physiotherapy and rehabilitation. Driven by a passion for assisting children and their families, I embarked on a mission to make a meaningful impact in Rwanda. Over the years, Tujyanemo HDVC has evolved from its humble beginnings to become a beacon of hope for disabled and vulnerable communities across four districts in Rwanda. Our approach at Tujyanemo HDVC transcends traditional aid. We recognize the importance of empowering parents and caregivers with valuable skills that enable them to support their children effectively. In addition to providing essential healthcare services, we prioritize inclusive education, ensuring that every child, regardless of their abilities, has access to quality learning opportunities. Moreover, we understand the significance of holistic development, which is why we offer training in permaculture gardening and implement income-generating projects. These initiatives not only improve food security and economic stability but also foster a sense of ownership and self-sufficiency within the communities we serve. In pursuit of our mission, I have continually sought to broaden my skill set and deepen my understanding of project management. Currently pursuing a master's degree in project management, I am dedicated to leveraging strategic planning and effective leadership to drive sustainable and impactful projects at Tujyanemo HDVC. Furthermore, my commitment to the well-being of the communities we serve extends to addressing critical issues such as sexual and reproductive health. Recognizing the importance of comprehensive healthcare, we incorporate sexual and reproductive health education into our programs, ensuring that individuals have access to the information and resources they need to make informed decisions about their health and well-being. Together with the passionate team at Tujyanemo HDVC, I am committed to realizing our mission of providing education, healthcare, and empowerment to disabled and vulnerable populations in Rwanda. Through our collective efforts, we strive to create positive and sustainable changes that uplift individuals and communities, paving the way for a brighter and more inclusive future.
